An open-concept design with sightlines that connect people isn’t what you would expect in a 7,500-square-foot home. But the $3.7-million show home, unveiled for this year’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s Welcome Home Sweepstakes, does just that.

“I think it’s the ultimate entertaining home,” says Brian Gluckstein, the renowned designer who styled the five-bedroom abode. “The rooms are very open to each other. “There are these beautiful sightlines in the house that allow everybody to be connected when there are parties going on or for entertaining.”

Located in Oakville, the prize home was built by PCM Construction Inc., an Oakville-based custom-builder, with donations of materials, skills and labour from a long list of supporting cast members. It boasts hardwood flooring, marble kitchen countertops, a wine cellar, bar, gym and a library.

“This is far and away the most spectacular show home that has ever been in a Princess Margaret lottery,” said Paul Alofs, president and CEO, The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, earlier this week.”
